Prayer and Reflection
At Deddington CE Primary School prayer forms part of our daily act of Collective Worship. We recognise that prayers can only have a religious significance for some, but they have potential to give spiritual insights for all.

As we have updated our school vision, this year we also look to work with the children to develop a new school prayer/reflection to sit alongside our new theologically rooted vision. Worship group will look at some of the options we have worked on and perhaps even have a go, with the support of our school worship lead and the Rev Nick Fielden. We then take those to each class to look at at vote on which one we would like to use.
All classes have prayers displayed and children have opportunities for reflection time throughout the week. A lunch time prayer are also shared. In addition, a reflection book in each class is used to capture the children's thoughts and feelings, if they want to share these.
Class reflections Books
These have been introduced this year to capture the thoughts and reflections of our children. With our No Outsider worships and Thursday reflections, the children have always shared their interesting and inspiring thoughts. We thought it would inspiring for others to read what they might believe and how they are able to put themselves in the shoes of others, showing empathy, respect and understanding of others.
