Membership of North Oxfordshire School Sport Partnership
As a school we have bought into the services of the North Oxfordshire School Sports Partnership. (N.O.S.S.P) since 2013. Please look at the NOSSP website for further information about sporting provision in North Oxfordshire. www.northoxfordshiressp.co.uk.
The annual cost of becoming a NOSSP member is £4432. Being a member of this partnership has significant impact on the quality of PE and sports provision that our school can provide. The benefits that being part of NOSSP include :-
Support from the NOSSP who organise and deliver quality‐assured training courses for our teachers and teaching assistants.
P.E. specialists from the Warriner (School Sports Coordinators‐SSCO) who compile a comprehensive calendar of Level 2 school games competitions for us to compete in. These are a range of interschool competitions that ensure that all children in all year groups have the opportunity to take part in competitions against pupils from other schools. Since joining NOSSP we have had pupils competing against other schools in the following sports: multiskills, triathlon, tag rugby, football, cross country, dodgeball, swimming, indoor athletics, netball, quad kids athletics. We have a fantastic record of success, achievements and participation in these competitions and our results and information about our activities are published in the school newsletters and now on the school website.
Support from our SSCO in cooperation with the NOSSP events manager who arranges for a participation pathway for successful teams and pupils to progress to Level 3 (County) school games and competitions.

Bespoke playground leader training delivered by school sport
Contact with quality assured coaches and community clubs to encourage the progression of enthusiastic and talented pupils.
Help in targeting under‐represented children, or groups of children, and providing opportunities for increased levels of participation festivals for these less active and more vulnerable members of our community organised by specialist coaches and sports coordinators.

|Continue professional development by providing supply cover to allow staff to attend training courses and PE coordinator to take part in specialist coordinating courses (£2912.50).||With our partnership with North Oxfordshire School Sports Partnership, teacher and staff have had access to continued professional development. This has resulted in more confident and competent adults delivering PE, evidenced from staff questionnaire.|
|Support and engage the least active children through new or additional Change4Life clubs (included in £2527).||PE Teachers have been on training courses to run C4L clubs. There are currently two clubs running with 25 children attending.|
|Provide iPads for PE staff to enable them to assess and record progress during the lessons. (£620)||Children are also able to use the iPads to record and then watch their progress back. Children can observe and assess themselves. Ipads still to be purchased.|
|Replace old and introduce new equipment to enable the children to develop their skills (£564)||All children can practise and develop their fundamental skills with safe, appropriate and engaging equipment.|
|Provide new curriculum planning resources (£254)||In line with the new curriculum, schemes of work for staff to use as appropriate. LTP and MTP have been organised across the school.|
|Subsidise after school Zumba and golf taster sessions to provide opportunity of Non traditional sports (£75)||Taster sessions held during sports week to increase total hours activity levels for the week. (4hours per class) and signposted to golf club as well as setting up after school sports’ club.|
