In our school we always think of how we can serve and help others; putting our school values into action. Older pupils are play leaders and buddies for younger pupils; our pastoral groups meet once a term too with a range of ages coming together to support each other. Our school councils (including Energizers, Fairtrade group and Worship group) meet regularly to support school leadership and improvement.
The School Council decides on a range of charities to support over the course of the year and plan events for the whole school. Some of the charities we have supported have included:
In addition to this Fairtrade Group raise money for Traidcraft Exchange working alongside Deddington Fairtraders (see our Fairtrade page). The Energizers, our Eco Council, are also active in reminding us of our Christian responsibility to look after our world (see our Energizers page).
Our active school choir has participated in a number of local events: for example sharing the Christian message through song at an Encumentical service to celebrate Banbury 10 years as a Fairtrade Town, as well as visiting Featherton House to sing for the elderly residents at Christmas time.
